I started my blog as a creative outlet and as motivation to dress nicely every day. When you have a casual workplace, it’s easy to get lazy and wear jeans and a tee shirt every day. There’s nothing wrong with that, but when you love shopping, it doesn’t make sense to buy new clothes and then leave them hanging, unworn, in your closet. I went through a phase when I first started
One of my favorite looks is over the knee boots with cozy sweaters. This sweater is one of the softest sweaters I have ever had – so I had a hard decision moment when looking at the price tag. I had previously gotten another sweater of the same brand and loved it. They are now some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. Sadly, it is sold out but here is a similar sweater by the same brand, Caslon.
These boots are actually the second exact same pair I have purchased. I got these last year, and loaned them to a friend, who unfortunately lost them. I was thrilled when they were back this year because the chunkier, lower heel is great. The only surprise was that they seem to fit looser than before. I am a size 8 and they are usually as perfect as Cinderella’s glass slipper. Here is another pair that are similar, also Steve Maddens.

This off-the-shoulder sweater is amazing! It’s soft, it hangs just right, and it is a gorgeous pink color. I’ve been getting bolder with my attire now that I work in a casual office. This means more feminine looks, hats, and even off-the-shoulder sweaters, which are a no-no for those of you in the business casual realm. This one was a little tough to pull off because the sweater is slightly see-through. And while I am ok skipping bras on the weekend, I am not so bold as to let the girls loose in the office quite yet. I also have yet to find the perfect strapless bra that contains me and lays flat under sweaters. Be on the lookout!

I rarely wear prints, let alone florals. In fact, when I showed up wearing this, Anya was shocked! She was much more excited to shoot than normal. While I typically avoid trendy pieces (and prints), the bell sleeves and criss-cross neck are so adorable on this shirt. I had to make an exception. Plus this shirt is lightweight and perfect for Phoenix weather!
I found this shirt last year at Nordstrom and it’s become one of my favorites. This exact print is no longer available, but the shirt is in stock in other colors! Lush also makes a couple of versions with the same sleeves and different necklines!
Backpacks have been an obsession of mine lately. It’s so much more convenient to tote around a backpack full of stuff all day than worry about a purse. I am on the lookout for something more practical for carrying around my camera and laptop while traveling.
