My go-to look usually involves a leather jacket. This can be a real problem in the Phoenix heat, but once we hit November I just go for it. It usually leads to me being dressed inappropriately at some point during the day, but hey, beauty is pain.
As I’ve started to work on building my wardrobe, my goal was to keep to my staples but incorporate some color and feminine elements into my style. That’s why I love blush as much as I do; it is soft, feminine, and goes with everything. This tank top is a great fit and has an interesting hemline, which made it difficult to tuck in like I usually do but the neckline makes up for it!
By the way, these shoes are killer. I mean, let’s not kid ourselves, heels are not usually comfortable (barring wedges). Sam Edelman’s are the exception – I can stand all day in these and not even flinch. And this pair comes in just about every color.

There are so many amazing sights and adventuring spots near Phoenix. The first thought is usually LA or Vegas, but tourists often forget Flagstaff, Tucson, and so many other places that aren’t just a cactus in the desert.
Recently, after a fun day at Mortimer Farms, Anya and I went up north almost to Jerome, to a place called Mingus Mountain. We spent the day driving up the mountain and seeing the sights. There was a small pond, campgrounds, and plenty of trails to go exploring on. I highly recommend taking a day trip to go adventuring if you’re in the area.
It was pretty cool wandering through the woods, and a great escape from the Phoenix heat! But luckily, not cold enough that we couldn’t wear booties and keep our city style with light-weight jackets. By the way- this is my all-time favorite tee shirt. It’s not too sheer, fits loosely (size up if you dry your tops), and is perfectly soft!

On our recent trip up north we stopped at the coolest pumpkin patch farm! Mortimer Family Farms is in Dewey, AZ (between Phoenix and Prescott) and is seriously amazing. We arrived pretty early but by 9 am, the place was hustling and bustling. Some people were parking crazy far away and walking in.
On my way in, there are baskets of locally grown flowers, big bins of pumpkins and squash, and watermelon galore! There were even a ton of spots to stop and take photos. So many people were taking full advantage of the hay bales, tractors, and picnic tables and catching the cutest moments.
I am grateful I remembered to bring my jacket because the day started off chilly! This green jacket has been my favorite lately, I got one in burgundy too! This bag holds SO MUCH! Once it warmed up, I was able to stow my jacket away with no problem. It’s so durable and easy to keep clean; I had no problems toting it around the farm all day. I am in love with Longchamp – I just ordered this backpack too (don’t judge)!
Side Note: Have you guys noticed how much Target is stepping it up in the clothing & jewelry department?! The Sugarfix by Baublebar addition is amazing, and the clothing department in my local store has doubled! They have a ton of trendy jewelry packs and more timeless pieces for us more basic girls. So basically, they have added more reasons for me to make a Target run for paper towels where I end up blowing my whole paycheck.
